Leah Friedrich RDH

       Leah’s dental career began many years ago in a pediatric office where she was both the receptionist and the chair side assistant.   She found the field of dentistry both challenging and interesting, and decided to pursue a more formal education in the dental field.

      While she continued working for a Pedodontists as a chair side assistant, Leah enrolled at SUNY Farmingdale to obtain as Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene.  Working in dentistry full time, and attending classed at night, Leah graduated as Valedictorian and the recipient of the Alpha Omega award for excellence.  After graduation, she taught Dental Hygienists as an associate professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene.  During this time, she also chose a full time job in the challenging field of Periodontics.  Continuing education courses included Infection Control, Child Abuse Identification and Reporting, Iontophorisis, and CPR.

      Dental Hygiene allowed Leah to raise a family and continue working part- time.  In 1990 she joined the faculty of SUNY Stony Brook, focusing on Pedodontics and Periodontics and continuing to work part-time in private practice.  In 1994 she attended St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, and graduated in 1998 with a 3.99 average.  She received Senior Honors, a Counseling Certificate, and a Baccalaureate in Community Health and Human Services.

      In 1999 Leah joined the office of Frank C. Perry, DDS where she continues her focus    on health education, wellness therapy, and patient empowerment with an attitude of caring and excellence.  It is exciting and rewarding to practice in a state-of-the art practice with other skilled and caring professionals.

       Leah and her family enjoy boating and skiing, and Leah likes to create “treasures” out of old junk.

      Her sustaining philosophy is THE GOLDEN RULE.
